1. Input Document

• A single PDF containing all employee payslips
• Each payslip must have a burst token that identifies the employee (e.g., {EmployeeID} or {EmployeeEmail})

2. Employee Data

• Your Employees table already exists with an Email column — perfect!
• Make sure each employee has a valid email address

3. Email Server

• SMTP credentials (server, port, username, password)
• Common options: Gmail, Office 365, your company's mail server

Step 1: Configure Email Server

In ReportBurster's UI:

• Top menu → Configuration → Connections
• Click Email Settings
• Enter your SMTP details
• Test connection with the Test Email Server button

Step 2: Create Report Configuration

In ReportBurster's UI:

• Top menu → Configuration → Manage → Reports
• Click Create New Report
• Name it (e.g., "Payslips")

Step 3: Enable Email Distribution

In your new Payslips report:

• Left menu → Email Settings
• ✓ Enable "Send documents by Email" (critical — it's OFF by default!)
• Configure:
  • Email Subject: "Your Payslip - ${burst_token}"
  • Email Body: Personalized message for employees
  • Email Variable Mapping: Map ${var0} to employee email from your database

Step 4: Configure Burst Tokens

• Burst File Name Pattern: "Payslip_${burst_token}.pdf"
• Burst Delimiter: Default is {} — change if your tokens use different brackets

Step 5: Burst and Distribute

• Top menu → Burst
• Select your input PDF
• ReportBurster splits it by employee and emails each payslip
